Another wonderful Spring is back!

The Greenwood Fire Department is looking for those interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter, an EMT, or
a First Responder. One must be 18 years of age and have an interest in assisting others.
The Fire Department will pay for all training and continuing education. For additional

The Greenwood Fire Department is asking that all of those residents who do not have a fire (address) sign on their docks to get in touch with the town clerk. The cost is $10/sign. It is vital that your "address" be posted by your dock as the Greenwood Fire Boat is usually first on scene. Without an address, it is hard to find you.
Some may say, "What are the chances of needing a Fire Boat?" The boat responds to fires as well as EMS calls. Having that number visible will enable them to find you quicker.
Please contact Ellen Trancheff-Clerk at the town hall to order a sign. Often they can be made up right in front of you if you stop in the office! The fee is $10.00 which covers the cost of the materials.
